The Heat Is On
Spring into action: Welcome from Christine McGourty
As we enter British Summer Time, many of us are relieved to be turning down the thermostat and putting away our thermals. The warmer weather gives us the perfect opportunity to include household energy efficiency measures as part of our spring cleaning. Remember the draught that came through the kitchen window? Or the hallway that seemed to haemorrhage heat? Now is the perfect time to take action, while we remember the effects of the coldest winter for decades.
Our message for you in this edition of The Heat Is On is simple – don’t wait for winter to make your home energy efficient.
In this edition we also look at recent fuel poverty reports including The Energy and Climate Change Committee’s investigation into fuel poverty, which suggests energy efficiency as the best way to help fuel poor customers. So, there is no better reason to spread the word on improving the efficiency of fuel poor homes.
